Our Mission

Leadership Eastside promotes connections, develops and enriches leaders, and is a catalyst for communities to address important issues and meet the challenges of a diverse and dynamic region.

We are fostering a power shift on the Eastside, and our role is skills development and modeling a community-focused form of collaborative leadership that serves the well-being of everyone.

Our purpose

Leadership Eastside convenes leadership for the greater good in East King County as an education leader. We inform, equip, and connect our community’s greatest assets – its leaders – to meet our community’s greatest needs.

 What is Adaptive Community Leadership?

Adaptive Community Leadership is a model that equips leaders with the skills to lead people through difficult, messy and complex challenges with a systems thinking approach. Addressing an adaptive challenge, by definition, often involves an honest examination of the current roles, norms, values and priorities, how they maintain the status quo and how they will need to evolve if equitable change is to happen.
