- 1. How big will the classes be? Who will be in them?
- Class size is targeted at between 40 and 50 select emerging leaders from Eastside communities and beyond representing the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Attaining the best balance of these representations assures the most receptive environment for individual leadership growth and skill building.
- LE has a commitment to age, gender, interest, and ethnicity diversity, reflective of the Eastside communities. The common thread among all class participants will be a high level of leadership competency potential, and a commitment to serving their Eastside community.
- 2. Which cities and communities does Leadership Eastside serve?
- Leadership Eastside serves the communities of East King County that are bounded by the Snoqualmie Valley and Maple Valley.
- 3. Who supports LE and why?
- Leadership Eastside is supported by a wide range of Eastside businesses and organizations from the private and public sectors.
- 4. What will you do for LE graduates after they finish the program?
- Participation in LE offers a solid network of professional and community support and mentoring for graduates. This network becomes our next generation of community leaders.
- LE offers two additional years of support for class participants through guidance, mentoring and opportunities for community service.
- A strong Alumni group supports and sustains LE relationships over the long term.
- 5. When do classes start and how can I apply?
- Leadership Eastside classes begin with a Welcome Reception in August followed by a Kickoff Retreat in September. Monthly leader day seminars begin in October and continue through May. Graduation celebrations occur in late May. Contact us to receive application materials; application deadline is in April.
